Predicting Every NFL Starting Quarterback for 2025

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret THE OBVIOUS TIER These QBs (barring injuries or shocking retirement) will be the starters no question: Chiefs : Patrick Mahomes Chargers : Justin Herbert Bengals : Joe Burrow Broncos : Bo Nix Commanders : Jayden Daniels Ravens : Lamar Jackson Bills : Josh Allen Falcons : Michael Penix Bears : Caleb Williams Patriots : Drake Maye Lions : Jared Goff Packers : Jordan Love Texans : CJ Stroud Eagles : Jalen Hurts Bucs : Baker Mayfield Cowboys : Dak Prescott 75% CHANCE: Cardinals : Kyler Murray In my opinion should be the starter going into the year, but if they decide he is capped out and want to trade him to a QB needy team and restart the clock, now would be the time to do it as his value probably won't get much higher than this, but also is this the QB draft class to decide to restart with? Dolphins : Tua Tagovailoa Dolphins could  decide to move away from Tua, and you will here rumours of it all year, but as long as Mike McDaniel is the Head Coach, Tua ...

Predictions for Transfer Portal QBs

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret The transfer portal opens up next week, but we have already heard some "high-profile" QBs that plan to enter. Here are the current predictions: Conner Weigman Connor Weigman is the Cade Mcnamara of this portal class. Everyone knows his name, but he just hasn't lived up to it. He played well-ish for around one season, and last year got benched for Marcel Reed. Of course he is entering the portal, no he isn't going to change a program. Syracuse has been thrown around, Auburn has been rumoured, I think he lands where QBs go to die: My Prediction: Iowa Jackson Arnold Jackson Arnold is a great example of someone everyone blamed, that didn't deserve the blame. Oklahoma had a terrible O-Line in the best D-Line conference, and limited weapons.  I am not saying he's a program changer, but he can have a resurgence in a good offense. He was recruited closely by Notre Dame who needs an eventual replacement for Riley Leonard, Auburn is desperate, Miami ...

Top candidates to replace Mack Brown at North Carolina

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret Mack Brown announced he was coming back for the 2025 season.... and UNC pulled the rug out from under him and announced today that Brown would not return as the head coach at UNC, which opens up one of the most intriguing openings, and the best opening so far in the 2025 offseason. With conference realignment, no team is ever set in stone, and with the basketball success, I wouldn't be surprised if in a year North Carolina was in the SEC, which could bring some bigger names than you think to the job. These coaches are in no order, but are my five favorite realistic replacements for the Tar Heels. 1. Andy Kotelnicki- OC Penn State North Carolina is known as a place for top QBs, which have included Sam Howell and Drake Maye in the past few years, but the offense hasn't always been the smoothest. Kotelnicki is one of the best offensive minds in the country and has success quickly at multiple spots. When Lance Leipold took over at Kansas, he brought Kotelnicki ...

How Bo Nix stacks up against past rookie seasons?

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret Bo Nix is opening eyes across the league and closing in on Jayden Daniels' lead for Offensive Rookie of the Year. The rise seems fast, but besides the first two games, Nix has looked like a veteran quarterback this season. How does his season stack up against past (QB) rookie of the years through 10 games? Bo Nix through 12 games: 2548 passing yds 64.9 CMP% 300 rushing yds 21 total TDs 7 turnovers 2023- CJ Stroud 3,540 passing yds 63.4 CMP% 143 rushing yds 23 total TDs 12 turnovers Stroud got off to a scorching start last year, so beats Nix in terms of passing yards and total TDs, but Stroud had more turnovers (7 fumbles, 5 INTs), less rushing yards, and a lower completion percentage. 2020- Justin Herbert 3,467 passing yds 66.3 CMP% 185 rushing yds 28 total TDs 16 turnovers Justin Herbert's rookie season is considered to be one of the best of all time, but isn't too far ahead of what Nix is doing. More passing yards, higher completion percentage, and TDs...

Who could replace Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State?

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret Mike Gundy has struggled this year, not only with on-field success as the Cowboys are 3-9, 0-9 in the Big 12, but also has had some quotes come out making him seem disinterested and frustrated with everything. Is there a mutual split incoming? It would be tough to imagine Oklahoma State firing the all-time winningest coach in program history, but it may be time to move on. This would be an interesting job, as I think it would attract some up-and-coming coaches, but would have to compete in recruiting with some pretty big programs, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M. Top candidates: 1. Alex Golesh- HC USF 2. Barry Odom- HC UNLV 3. Rich Rodriguez- HC Jacksonville St.

Top 5 candidates to replace Dan Lanning

Image
By Caleb Jeanneret Rumors are circulating that Dan Lanning is circulating in NFL HC circles. Would he be great? Why wouldn't he be? Will it happen? Almost certainly not He has unlimited resources and doesn't seem to despise recruiting like Chip Kelly, but it is very fun to find coaches to take over for him. Here is my top 5 favorite candidates to replace him if he were to leave. 5. Will Stein- OC Oregon The roster would be kept for the most part, and the offense is elite, it's just not as fun as some of the others below, but had to be mentioned. 4. Rhett Lashlee- HC SMU One of the country's top offensive minds has successfully turned around SMU with a career record of 26-10 and currently has the Mustangs in the top 15 in their first year in the ACC. Before becoming the HC of SMU Lashlee was successful as the OC at SMU and Miami and would continue to build the legacy of great offenses at Oregon. 3. Curt Cignetti- HC Indiana This would make the most sense, turning around...
