Predictions for Transfer Portal QBs
By Caleb Jeanneret
The transfer portal opens up next week, but we have already heard some "high-profile" QBs that plan to enter. Here are the current predictions:
Conner Weigman
Connor Weigman is the Cade Mcnamara of this portal class. Everyone knows his name, but he just hasn't lived up to it. He played well-ish for around one season, and last year got benched for Marcel Reed.
Of course he is entering the portal, no he isn't going to change a program.
Syracuse has been thrown around, Auburn has been rumoured, I think he lands where QBs go to die:
My Prediction: Iowa
Jackson Arnold
Jackson Arnold is a great example of someone everyone blamed, that didn't deserve the blame. Oklahoma had a terrible O-Line in the best D-Line conference, and limited weapons.
I am not saying he's a program changer, but he can have a resurgence in a good offense.
He was recruited closely by Notre Dame who needs an eventual replacement for Riley Leonard, Auburn is desperate, Miami needs a Cam Ward heir, but my prediction keeps him in the SEC and reunites him with his old OC

My Prediction: Mississippi State
Miller Moss
Miller Moss was treated unfairly by Lincoln Riley, as Riley used him as a scapegoat and benched him thinking it would improve the team (he was wrong) and Moss obviously entered the portal. Moss isn't very mobile, but is a high class pocket passer that would be a perfect bridge QB for someone with a young QB room, see Michigan, Auburn, or Ole Miss, but I think there is a team that lost out on their top recruit and needs a stop gap:Kaidon Salter
My Prediction: LSU
Kaidon Salter
I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm some expert on Salter, but I know he's a mobile QB with a capable arm that would work at any P4 program that needs a new QB. I could see a team like Syracuse making a big push for this guy to show his talents after Kyle McCord led the nation in passing this year, but I think one team has a big connection and opens its pockets
